RSVP: Requested here, but not required.

We’re bringing our cocktail series back to Audrey where we had packed events last year. Our cocktail series brings together LGBT men and women of all ages and domiciles for a chance to mingle before the commute home. Please note that this venue’s capacity is limited to 80 people, so come on the earlier side to be sure to get in. When we reach capacity, people will be let in as others leave. We will have a small amount of overflow space available just outside of the lounge.

The Audrey Lounge & Cafe is a beautiful and intimate space in a quiet corner of Murray Hill that is still just a few short blocks from Grand Central, located in the St. Giles Tuscany Hotel.

We welcome Ivy League, Seven Sisters, Stanford, NYU, Duke, UVA, Georgetown and Northwestern friends. Alumni, faculty, staff, and students that are over 21 are welcome.

Thanks to our cohosts
– Shawn Cowls of FFR/Princeton BTGALA
– Susi Kandel of DGALA
– Natasha of Yale GALA
– Margaret Fairchild Morton of Columbia Pride

Dartmouth Night Out in NYC

WHEN: Tuesday, August 31, 2010, 7:00 p.m.

WHEREHighbar, 49th St and 8th Ave. in NYC

COST: No cover. Cash bar.

Summer is slipping by and it has been a while since we’ve all gotten together! Now that everyone is back from their summer vacations (or staycations!), we’d like to get everyone together for drinks at a (hopefully) very convenient spot. It isn’t necessarily gay or lesbian, but New York is- and we can make this place gayer by showing up.

You can get there by CE, 1, or any other train really…because it’s practically next to Times Square. And even though Times Square isn’t that awesome sometimes, it is always fun to look out on lost tourists from a rooftop while enjoying a cold drink.  Bring your friends/significant others/parents/siblings.

Come meet Katie & Jonathan!

Katie Miller (now Yale ’12) was  #9 in her West Point class. While at the Academy, Miller worked from within to change DADT. Last week she resigned to attend Yale. Come hear what this very articulate young woman has to say!

Former Captain Jonathan Hopkins (West Point ’01) was #4 in his West Point class. He was selected early as a Major and earned 3 bronze stars. He was also discharged last week under DADT.

Presented by Knights Out (West Point’s LGBT alumni & allies) and Yale GALA with co-hosts FFR/Princeton BTGALA, Penn GALA, CUGALA (Cornell GALA), HGLC (Harvard Gay & Lesbian Caucus) & DGALA  (Dartmouth). Many thanks to the ACLU NY, Lambda Legal, HRC, SLDN, Velvet Park and the Point Foundation for announcing this event to their NY members. Knights Out is committed to a military where gay & lesbian soliders can serve honestly.
